      Donald J. Mattingly 82, of Greenwood, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005, at Ruth Lilly Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born Nov. 4, 1923 in Indianapolis. His parents were Nicholes and Josephine (Patterson) Mattingly. He first was married to Lorraine Worth and later was married to Garnett Oren both preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Michael L. (Penny) Mattingly of Greenwood; step-sons: Timothy (Marilyn) Oren of Shoals, IN and Harry (Arlene) Oren of Foley, AR; step-daughter, Anita Coffee of Indianapolis; brother, Lex Mattingly of Indianapolis; two sisters: Helen (John) Collins and Patricia (Richard) Hoff both of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Joseph. He was employed for 13 years by Leaseway Trucking as a Diesel Mechanic, having retired in 1982. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WW II. Rev. Woodrow Church will conduct a service at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service Singleton & Herr Southport Chapel, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, with calling there 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2005. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Ruth Lilly Hospice of the Clarion, P.O. Box 1367, Indianapolis, IN 46206.
