  (Research):Evansville Courier and Press, June 25, 1984 Hawesville, Ky. - A Hardinsburg, Ky., couple drowned Sunday afternoon while wading the Ohio River 4 ? miles east of Hawesville. Mazie Oelze and Charles Sherman Oelze were wading about 100 feet from a sandbar when Mrs. Oelze slipped off a drop off into deeper water, according to Hancock County Coroner Kesner Gibson. Neither knew who to swim, Gibson said. Members of the Hancock County Rescue squad found Mrs. Oelze body but had been unable to locate Oelze, Gibson said. The squad was still dragging the river late Sunday.
