Raphael "Ray" Roach, 72, R.17 Box 24, Bedford, died at 3:10 a.m. Friday at his residence.
Born in Louisville, Ky., he was the son of Frank and Audrey (Wethington) Roach. He married Juanita C. Walton, and she survives.
He was retired from AT&T's telephone equipment installation and repair division. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion and was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Deborah A. Roach of Bloomington; two stepsons, Donald Lee Cleveland of Bedford, and David Lynn Cleveland of Bradenton, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Janet Brunecon of Marathon Keys, Fla., and Elizabeth Ann Lee of Bedf
ord; one granddaughter; five stepgrandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McKnought and Rita Roach, and two brothers, Phil Roach and Orrin Roach.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary. Rev. Sylvester Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Burgoon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the mortuary.
