      Mrs. Sarah Viola Krise Fogle, 91, formerly of Frederick, more recently of Falling Waters, W.Va., died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at her residence. She was the wife of Richard A. "Peck" Fogle, who died in 1985.

      Born Jan. 4, 1915, in Creagerstown, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Lawrence and Mary Angeline Speak Krise.

      Mrs. Fogle retired from Sagner's as a seamstress for more than 20 years and then worked with her husband restoring and repairing furniture. She was a member of the Mount Zion Lutheran Church Ladies Aid Society. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed bowling with her husband prior to his death and continued on with the Senior League. She was an avid Orioles fan until Cal Ripken's retirement.

      Surviving are two daughters: Bonnie Hall and husband Jack of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Janet Hydorn and husband Charles of Falling Waters, W.Va.; four grandchildren: Scott Mercer of Frederick, Anne Mercer Bowes and husband Andrew of Yorktown, Va., Richard Mercer of Keymar, and Kristi Hydorn Winterstein and husband August of Walkersville; three great-grandchildren: Meagan Fleming of Walkersville, Kaitlyn Bowes and Benjamin Bowes, both of Yorktown, Va.; and a brother, James Krise of Boca Raton, Fla.

      She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Houck; and a brother, Richard Krise.

      Mrs. Fogle is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 North Market Street, Frederick, where the family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 29.

      Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Cheryl Duke officiating,

      Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Honorary bearers will be Benjamin Bowes and Grayson "Eddie" Rippeon. Bearers will be Scott Mercer, Richard Mercer, August C. Winterstein III, Robert J. Hydorn, Andrew W. Bowes, and Dana McCormick.

      The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Fogle to the Ladies Aid Society of Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 5709 Mount Phillip Road, Frederick, Md. 21703; or to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, W.Va. 25401.

      Friends and family are invited for food and fellowship after the services at Scott Mercer's residence, 220 Lindbergh Avenue, Frederick, Md.
