      Bristol, Va., March 12 - A special from Jonesville, Va. says:

      David L. Wolfe, an officer was killed early this morning on the Kentucky-Virginia State line in the western section of Lee County, by Charles Carson whom he was pursuing and for whose arrest he held a warrant. Carson is said to have been in Kentucky and shot Wolfe while the latter was on Virginia soil. He escaped after the shooting.
