WERTZ, Adolphina (""Tillie""), 72, of Vinton, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 1998, in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are her husband, Alvie W. Wertz; her children, Doris A. Lilley, Florida, Alvie W. Wertz Jr., Timothy O. Wertz and his wife, Liza Wertz of Salisbury, Md., Judy Konniard, West Virginia; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; f our sisters, Betty Davis, Tippy McLaughlin, Joyce Flowers, Sarah Chittum; three brothers, Maurice Myers, Nathan W. Myers Jr., Edward McBrayer. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday August 28, 1998, from Oakey's Vinton Chapel. The Rev. Buddy Mayers will officiate. Interment will be in Peters Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Oakeys Vinton Chapel.
