Notes |
- New Paltz Independent, August 22, 1911
Rachel B. Eltinge, wife of Nathaniel Deyo, died at her home in Forest Glen last Thursday, aged 66 years.
Her departure leaves a great void in the home, where for more than forty years she had lovingly and loyally ministered to husband, children and many friends. Resignation to loss grows with the thought that she has passed beyond the suffering and pain that "wear the heart and waste the body", and the belief that even in the blessedness of Heaven there was added joy and happiness within that wide circle of "loved ones gone before" who had so tenderly cherished and guided her from infancy to womanhood, who close to the pearly gates were eagerly waiting to welcome her to the Eternal home.
