  New Paltz Independent, January 19, 1906 Miss Magdalene E. Deyo died on Sunday night after a long illness at her residence in the town of Gardiner. Her age was 58 years. She leaves three brothers: Nathaniel and Andrew L.F. of Gardiner and Solomon L.F. of New York; also one sister Mary, who returned from her missionary work in Japan on account of her sister's illness arriving at the old home in Gardiner about two weeks ago. The funeral was held at the late residence on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was a lady of the most estimable character and sunny and cheerful disposition.
