      Doris Grace Weller Titus, 85, of Martinsburg, formerly of Kearneysville, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at the Winchester Medical Center.

      Born Jan. 24, 1925, in Thornton, she was the daughter of the late Lawson L. Boyles and Ida (Curray) Boyles.

      She was the widow of Hartzell Weller and Harry B. Titus Sr., who died April 17, 2009.

      Mrs. Titus was one of the original Rosie the Riveters at Fairchild Industries, Hagerstown, during World War II. She was a clerk at White's Super Market, Charles Town, and a checker at the Shepherd College cafeteria.

      She was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, Shenandoah Junction, and she attended Rosemont Grace Brethren Church, Martinsburg.

      She was a member of the Jefferson County Humane Society, Jefferson County Senior Center, Rosie the Riveter Society and the Christian Motorcyclists Association.

      She is survived by her stepson, Harry B. Titus Jr. and wife, Debbie of Kearneysville; special caregiver, Susan Sibert and husband, Andy, and family; her beloved dog, Honey; four grandchildren, Valarie D. Weller of Martinsburg, Amanda E. Weller of Martinsburg, Rhiannon Weller of Harpers Ferry, and Stephen A. Weller Jr. of Virginia; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen A. Weller; three sisters, Hazel Hooten, Hallie DeMoss and Valley Kokes; and one brother, Arnold Boyles. Mrs. Titus is the last of her immediate family.

      Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, with Dr. Parker Hinzman officiating. Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

      Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home.
