CASPER - Memorial services will be held at a later date for Casper resident Helen Irene McCasland Fender, 92, who died Jan. 23, 2003.
Born in 1910 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Priscilla and Oliver Shroyer.
She and her daughter, Bonna Jean, moved to Walden, Colo., in 1934.
In 1937, she married Fordyce Brownlee. They were the parents of a son, Dyce. The couple divorced in 1944.
She later married John McCasland.
After his retirement in Jackson County, Colo., they moved to Casper to be near her son and his family. Her husband preceded her in death in 1977, after 33 years of marriage.
She then married Russel Fender. He preceded her in death in 1990.
She was known as a wonderful homemaker and mother.
A victim of Alzheimer's disease, she moved to Poplar Living Center in 1998.
Survivors include her son, Dyce Brownlee, and his wife of Casper; sister, Kathleen Paskell, and two brothers, Wilmer and Homer Shroyer, all of Ohio; three grandsons; five granddaughters; a great-grandson; two great-granddaughters; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law and a granddaughter.
