    • Erma Van Eman, 87, died at 12:45 p.m. Feb. 16, 2008, at Woodland Terrace Nursing Home, Bridgman, Mich.

      She was born May 7, 1920, in Paulding County to Samuel N. and Nellie Pearl Wistner Tribolet, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 2, 1939, she married Blaine "Bud" Van Eman, who died March 13, 2005.

      Mrs. Van Eman retired in 1980 as personnel supervisor from Hayes-Albion Corp., Spencerville, after 30 years. She was a longtime member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Lima. She was a graduate of Ridge Township High School, Van Wert County. She had been living at the nursing home, where she was near her daughter.

      Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (William) Richardson, of Berrian Springs, Mich., and Sue (Allan) Williamson, of Decatur, Ga.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Betty) Tribolet, of Van Wert; a sister, Helen (Don) Crone, of Van Wert; a sister-in-law, Ruth Tribolet, of Van Wert; and a brother-in-law, Donald Stirn, of Florida.

      She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Tomlinson, Marcelle Kreischer and Dorotha Stirn; and three brothers, Chester, Doyle and Lawrence Tribolet.

      Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Pastor Donald Byard and her sons-in-law Allan Williamson and William Richardson will officiate. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery.

      Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Seventh-day Adventist Church or Hospice at Home of Southwest Michigan.
